
AICC Appoints New District In-Charges
Hyderabad, July 7: In a move aimed at strengthening the Congress party structure from the grassroots, the All India Congress Committee (AICC) has appointed senior leaders as in-charges for the 10 undivided districts of Telangana. The appointments were approved by Meenakshi Natarajan, AICC in-charge for Telangana, on Monday.
This reorganization is part of a broader strategy by the party to revamp its base at the village, mandal, and district levels ahead of upcoming electoral battles.
Among the key appointments:

Ch Vamsi Chand Reddy, former Kalwakurthy MLA, will take charge of the undivided Khammam district.

S Sampath Kumar, AICC secretary, will oversee the undivided Nalgonda district.

Adluri Laxman, SC/ST Welfare Minister, has been given charge of the undivided Warangal district.

Ponnam Prabhakar, BC Welfare Minister, will handle responsibilities for the undivided Medak district.

T Jayaprakash Reddy, TPCC working president, has been appointed in charge of the Hyderabad district.

The Telangana Congress leadership believes that assigning clear responsibilities to seasoned leaders at the district level will energize the cadre, improve coordination, and gear up the organization for future challenges, especially in light of local body elections and Lok Sabha polls.
