Just a few days after Aamir Khan stated that he plans to commence his Mahabharata series, SS Rajamouli has done the same. Attending the pre-release event of HIT 3 as a chief guest, the RRR maker stated that Natural Star Nani would definitely be a part of his film based on the epic.
This was his first statement on his dream project in years. In the past, he stated that doing the film as per his vision would require advancement in technology.
Recently, Aamir Khan stated that the scripting of his own Mahabharata movies will kick off by the end of 2025. While the scripting will be a long process, the production journey will be fast-tracked. Aamir Khan plans to rope in multiple directors so that the first film gets shot simultaneously across units. This way, the shoot can potentially be completed within six months.
SS Rajamouli’s epic movie is going to be far more ambitious than that of Aamir Khan. However, the Baahubali director is not going to commence the works anytime soon. If he takes up the project by 2028, it should be deemed a fast-tracked endeavour.
