Additional summer flights from Pune International Airport started operations from March 30, bringing up the number of daily flights to 104-109 from the 90 during winter. These flights will provide additional convenience to tourists travelling to colder places during the summer holidays.
Every year, flights are increased for the summer session as after school exams, a large number of tourists prefer to travel during the holidays.
The new season schedule will see 35 interstate and international flights. Apart from this, it will also include colder destinations in Maharashtra and various other states of India. The airport operates three international flights—to Bangkok, Singapore and Dubai—while domestic flights are being operated to airports such as Bengaluru, Coimbatore, Ranchi, Lucknow, Kolkata, Delhi, Goa, Indore, Nagpur, Hyderabad, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Bhopal, Cochin, Thiruvananthapuram, Jaipur, Rajkot, Surat, Dehradun, Hubli, Raipur, Bhavnagar and Amritsar.
