ACB Registers 126 Cases, Unearths Over ₹27 Cr Worth of Assets in First Half of 2025

Hyderabad — The Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has reported a surge in action against corrupt public servants in the first six months of 2025, registering 126 cases, arresting 125 individuals, and unearthing disproportionate assets worth over ₹27.66 crore.

Between January and June 2025, the ACB filed:

  • 80 trap cases

  • 8 disproportionate assets (DA) cases

  • 14 criminal misconduct cases

  • 10 regular enquiries

  • 11 surprise checks

  • 3 discreet enquiries

The bureau also seized a total of ₹24,57,000 in bribe money during the period and remanded the accused — including public servants, eight outsourcing employees, and private individuals — to judicial custody.

June 2025 Snapshot: Crackdown Intensifies

In the month of June alone, the ACB:

  • Registered 31 new cases, including:

    • 15 trap cases

    • 2 disproportionate assets cases

    • 3 criminal misconduct cases

    • 4 regular enquiries

    • 7 surprise checks

  • 25 individuals, including two non-government associates, were arrested and remanded.

  • Seized ₹3,43,500 in bribes and uncovered disproportionate assets valued at ₹13.5 lakh and ₹5.22 crore in separate cases.

  • During surprise checks on RTA check-posts and sub-registrar offices, the ACB also recovered unaccounted cash of ₹2,72,030.

In total, 129 cases were finalised in the six-month period, and final reports were submitted to the government.
