
Abhishek Nayar, who served an eight-month stint as assistant coach with the Indian national team, has signed with the Mumbai South Central Maratha Royals for the upcoming T20 Mumbai League 2025. Joining him in the mentor ranks is former India bowling coach Paras Mhambrey, who has been appointed by ARCS Andheri.
With their extensive international and domestic coaching experience, both Nayar and Mhambrey are expected to play pivotal roles in shaping and nurturing young talents throughout the season.
Banking on a strong foundation of experience, the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) on Saturday announced a stellar lineup of head coaches and mentors for the eagerly awaited third edition of the T20 Mumbai League 2025.
Returning after a six-year hiatus, the T20 Mumbai League 2025 aims to reignite the city`s rich cricketing fervour. The tournament is scheduled to be held at the iconic Wankhede Stadium from May 26 to June 8 and will feature eight competitive franchises.
The coaching roster features some of Mumbai’s most respected names. Omkar Salvi (SoBo Mumbai Falcons), Rajesh Pawar (ARCS Andheri), Atul Ranade (Triumph Knights Mumbai North East), Amit Dani (Mumbai South Central Maratha Royals), Prashant Shetty (Eagle Thane Strikers), Pravin Tambe (North Mumbai Panthers), and Vinod Raghvan (Aakash Tigers Mumbai Western Suburbs) have been appointed as head coaches of their respective teams. The head coach for Namo Bandra Blasters will be announced shortly.

Adding further star power to the tournament, MCA recently unveiled India’s captain, Rohit Sharma, as the official face of Season 3.
Previously, the T20 Mumbai League has been a proven breeding ground for emerging talent, helping players like Shivam Dube, Tushar Deshpande, and Shams Mulani make significant strides in their professional careers.
With an overwhelming response of over 2,800 player registrations for this season, the MCA is poised to discover the next generation of cricketing stars, promising a vibrant and competitive edition of the league.
