The Ahmedabad Zonal Office of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Wednesday said that it had on Monday provisionally attached immovable properties worth Rs 1.05 crore at book value (present market value is approx. The action was taken under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).

ED said that it initiated an investigation on the basis of an FIR registered by the CBI, ACB, Gandhinagar against Yadav and his wife Sangeeta Singh under various provisions of Prevention of Corruption Act, as amended for possession of assets disproportionate to their known sources of income to the tune of Rs 1.91 crore, during the check period from October 1, 2010 to January 23, 2019.

The ED investigation allegedly revealed that Yadav had laundered the proceeds of crime (POC) in acquisition of various immovable assets in his name and in the name of his family members. Further investigation is underway.
