If tinsel town reports are anything to by, the much-anticipated action entertainer Spirit, starring Prabhas, was launched in Hyderabad on Tuesday. Director Sandeep Vanga reportedly invited a select few to the muhurat ceremony which is said to be an intimate gathering. Upon learning of the development, many fans and netizens are calling it a ‘soft launch.’

Look test for Prabhas

According to the reports, Prabhas would undergo a look test for his character shortly. Known for giving characters authentic makeovers such as head-to-toe transformation, Sandeep Vanga wanted to establish a primary understanding of Prabhas’s look. This is a crucial step in the pre-production process where the director wanted to check out on different styles to see what works best for a character. Prabhas plays an IPS officer in the film, and his look would most definitely pique the interest of the fans. “A photoshoot will be organized on Prabhas to lock his look and hairstyle for the cop role. The superstar had even shed the kilos for the part and looks fit. His lean and mean look will enthral fans,” says a source in the know.

Shooting commences in February 2026

Spirit movie may have had a quiet launch but sources say that the film’s principal shooting will commence in February 2026. The three-month window period would give Sandeep enough time to wrap up his pre-production work and then completely focus on the filmmaking part. Prabhas will be free from The Raja Saab commitments, and will turn his focus on Spirit. “Prabhas wanted to allot bulk dates to the film so that he can wrap up in one go,” adds the source. Korean actor Don Lee plays the antagonist, and the actor had already arrived in the country to commence shooting. Triptii Dimri is the leading lady in this actioner.
