The recent shooting pause of Jr NTR’s upcoming film Dragon (tentatively titled) has triggered several theories. While the actor is transforming physically for the part, rumours are rife about differences between him and director Prashanth Neel. Some speculated that the film has come to a grinding halt due to changes in the script. As if the current reports aren’t enough, fresh rumours had it saying that Dragon will be made in two parts.

Dragon makers contemplating

It looks like the fascination for sequels and franchise films is on the rise among the Tollywood stars. According to the latest reports, the makers of the Jr NTR-starrer are actively pursuing the thought of making the action entertainer in two instalments. While the film is being shot for about 30 per cent, the makers believe that story has the potential to be made in two instalments. The film’s canvas is so huge that the director believes shooting the film in two parts would do justice to the script. A source close to the unit informs, “It is not too late to think about making Dragon in two parts, but the makers need to plan the script accordingly on how much Part 1 can accommodate. The film unit is currently pursuing the idea with Jr NTR and Prashanth Neel endorsing it. Perhaps, a better picture is expected to emerge in a couple of weeks.”

Dragon, a gangster drama?

While Jr NTR is using the shooting break to transform physically, the makers too are trying to capitalize on the pause to brainstorm on various creative aspects for concrete ideas. Dragon is tipped to be a gangster drama! Jr. NTR is said to play a character who rises from the lower ranks of a mafia group to emerge as a powerful leader amidst a conflict between two rival gangs.
