Chris Evans and Alba Baptista have reportedly welcomed their first child, a baby girl, last Friday at 1:27 p.m. in Massachusetts, according to TMZ. The couple has not yet shared any details about the baby’s name or gender. However, initial reports also suggest that the child has been named Alma Grace Baptista Evans.

While the couple has been private about their marriage and family life, the two became Instagram official in 2023. Right after that, Chris and Alba tied the knot in a private ceremony on Cape Cod. The two did not reveal their pregnancy, but speculations were doing rounds on social media after Alba’s father Luiz Baptista left a heartfelt comment in a fan account’s Father’s Day tribute post. He wrote, “Many thanks dear Chris. Your turn is coming!” Since then, social media users had been working overtime to find out about Chris and Alba’s family planning.

The actor hasn’t opened up about adjusting to the new role of being a father yet. However, in a previous interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Chris shared his take on parenthood. He said, “Being a dad would be a dream role for me… Growing up in a close-knit family of four, we would all sleep in the same room on Christmas Eve, watch a Christmas movie, and try to fall asleep amidst the festive excitement.”

He had also shared that alongside Alba, he is beginning to maintain his own family traditions. They celebrate the important festivities both in Massachusetts and Portugal. In fact, Chris and Alba also bought a home in Portugal as a family.
