Deepika Padukone is currently shooting with Shah Rukh Khan for the actor’s upcoming film, King. Following this, she will start working on her film with Atlee and Allu Arjun. Recently, rumours were doing the rounds that her screen time has been reduced, and her role has been changed from what she was offered when she came on board.

However, sources close to the production put the rumours to rest and clarified that her role has not been changed or reduced. Mid-Day quoted a source as saying, “There is no truth to rumours that Deepika’s screen time has been reduced. Her role has not changed from what she was offered when she came on board in June. She has a fierce part, which is essential to the first and second acts of the narrative. It’s not a cameo at all. Her character drives the story in a way. Every actor has a clearly etched out part.”

The actress will reportedly start shooting the project in late October, after she is done with King. The report also states that the first schedule will focus on portions that establish Deepika’s character. Then, the November schedule will see large-scale action set-pieces, which will also include a chase sequence. Atlee is reportedly designing this with his stunt team from South Korea.

For the first time in his career, Allu Arjun will be seen in a dual role. The superstar will be seen in the role of a warrior in one of the roles that has a connection to an alternative reality/ parallel universe in the film. He will reportedly have four heroines, including Deepika Padukone, Rashmika Mandanna, Janhvi Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur.
