Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi’s much-awaited legal comedy Jolly LLB 3 is off to a promising start at the box office. After a decent opening on Friday, the film witnessed a strong surge on Saturday, pulling in audiences across metros and tier two cities alike.

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the Subhash Kapoor directorial collected 20 crore Rs on its second day (September 21), marking a solid 57 percent jump from its Day 1 earnings of Rs 12.75 crore. This brings the film’s two-day total to Rs 32.75 crore, and trade experts predict that it could comfortably cross the Rs 50 crore mark by the end of its opening weekend.

The courtroom drama enjoyed healthy occupancy throughout Saturday, averaging 35.40 percent across India in Hindi screenings. The breakdown shows a clear upward trend as the day progressed:

Morning shows: 13.65 percent

Afternoon shows: 32.38 percent

Evening shows: 40.47 percent

Night shows: 55.10 percent

Among cities, Delhi NCR led with 1,313 screenings, followed by Mumbai at 733. Bengaluru (46.5 percent), Delhi NCR (45 percent), Chennai (44.5 percent), and Lucknow (41.25 percent) reported the highest turnouts.

Jolly LLB 3 brings back the fan-favourite Jolly vs Jolly face-off with Akshay Kumar reprising Jagdish Mishra and Arshad Warsi returning as Jagdish Tyagi. The two end up in a hilarious yet tense battle inside and outside the courtroom, fighting for clients, pride, and justice.

The plot loosely draws inspiration from the controversial Bhatta Parsaul land acquisition case, using humour to highlight social and legal conflicts. Alongside Akshay and Arshad, the film also stars Huma Qureshi, Amrita Rao, Gajraj Rao, and veteran actor Saurabh Shukla.
