Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi’s Jolly LLB 3 will be released in theatres on September 19, with several modifications as per the Censor Board of Film Certification’s suggestion. The makers had to change the disclaimer, and an alcohol brand was blurred wherever it was shown.

As per a report in Bollywood Hungama, the makers were also asked to remove the word ‘f****r from the film. Moreover, there was a scene where an old man was assaulted by cops, which had to be modified. The visuals of a logo on a file were also blurred, as per the publication. In the second half, a dialogue was modified to be, “Janki amma ka gaon sirf ek…cheque muh pe fek ke mara.”
Following these modifications, the CBFC passed the film with a 16+ rating. The length of the film is 2 hours, 37 minutes and 16 seconds. Meanwhile, the film has faced a lot of criticism even before its release for the portrayal of lawyers and the Indian judiciary.

Despite the legal hurdle, Jolly LLB 3 remains one of the most awaited releases of the year. The franchise has enjoyed strong success in the past, with the first film in 2013 turning into a sleeper hit and the 2017 sequel crossing the Rs 200 crore mark globally. Produced by Star Studio 18 and helmed by Subhash Kapoor, the film is slated to hit theatres on September 19, 2025.
