The Lokah universe just got a whole lot bigger. Hot on the heels of Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra’s record-breaking run, the makers have unveiled the character posters of Dulquer Salmaan and Tovino Thomas, confirming their long-rumoured roles.

Dulquer steps into the shoes of Odiyan, the mythical shapeshifter steeped in Kerala’s folklore. His character was first glimpsed in a mid-credits scene, but the newly released poster cements his place as a pivotal figure in the growing franchise. Tovino, meanwhile, appears as Chathan, introduced in the post-credits tease, a darker, more mischievous entity whose presence signals stormy conflicts ahead.

If Dulquer’s Odiyan radiates mystique, Tovino’s Chathan crackles with chaos. Together, they don’t just expand the Lokah lore, they announce the arrival of a full-fledged superhero universe with multiple forces waiting to collide.

Adding another layer of intrigue is Mammootty, who lends his voice to Moothon, a cosmic figure hinted at as the supreme being in this universe. His unseen presence looms large, suggesting the franchise has barely begun to scratch the surface of its mythology.

Chandra’s Triumph & the Road Ahead

While the new posters are driving fan conversations, the foundation was firmly laid by Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra itself. Kalyani Priyadarshan headlined the first instalment with a powerful turn as Chandra, or Kalliyankattu Neeli, a Yakshi reborn as a protector. She was supported by Naslen, Sandy, Arun Kurian, Chandu Salimkumar, Nishanth Sagar, Vijayaraghavan, and Sarath Sabha.

The film’s technical finesse has also played a huge part in its success. Cinematographer Nimish Ravi painted Kerala’s landscapes with an epic scale, while Jakes Bejoy’s score infused the narrative with urgency. Editor Chaman Chakko kept the pacing taut, production designer Baglan built a world rooted in folklore, and Yannick Ben’s action choreography lent superhero swagger to the set pieces.
