Our favourite goth girl, Wednesday Addams, will be returning to our screens tomorrow as Wednesday Season 2 drops its second and final part on September 3. The new episodes starring Jenna Ortega, Catherine Zetta-Jones and Emma Myers, among others, promise to end weeks of anticipation and tie up several loose ends. The trailer has already teased some major twists, including the return of Principal Larissa Weems as Wednesday’s spirit guide. Lady Gaga will also have a crucial role to play. But before we delve into what’s next, let’s take a quick recap of what happened in season 2’s first part. Â
Recap of Season 2 Part 1

Wednesday Addams returned to Nevermore Academy in season 2 with the ghosts of her past still following her. However, without Goody Addams’ book, she feels powerless. She is tormented by visions of Enid’s death and has no idea how to protect her without her psychic abilities. Along the way, she faced off against an avian hunter.
Wednesday found another ally in the form of a stalker and fan, Agnes de Mille. The first part ended with her nemesis, Tyler (the Hyde), being released from his cell at the Willow Hill Psychiatric Hospital. Their brutal confrontation left Wednesday in a coma. At the same time, it was revealed that Willow Hill had been faking the deaths of outcast patients to secretly perform experiments on them.
What We Know So Far About Season 2 Part 2

The final trailer showed Principal Larrisa Weems, who died in season 1, return in Wednesday’s life as her guardian spirit. She will be leading her through the battles ahead. Netflix also recently released a character poster of Lady Gaga, who will be playing Rosaline Rotwood in the final four episodes. She has also written and recorded the song The Dead Dance for the show. Dressed in white with icy-blonde hair and Thing perched on her shoulder, Gaga’s character is described as a legendary Nevermore teacher who crosses paths with Wednesday in unexpected ways.
Tyler (the Hyde) remains Wednesday’s greatest threat this season, and given that he has already escaped once, it seems unlikely that he will go back to prison once again. A final confrontation between Wednesday and the Hyde feels inevitable. At the same time, her struggle to regain her psychic powers will likely play a crucial role. This can also bring her close to her mother, Morticia Addams. In the previous part, we saw Wednesday in loggerheads with Morticia as the latter refused to give her Goody Addams’ book back. Wednesday will most likely recognise her mother’s efforts to protect her from her own powers.

The Willow Hill conspiracy is another thread to watch. The experiments on the outcasts and the cover-ups of their fake deaths suggest a more sinister plan at play. Another unresolved question is the fate of Xavier. Though he was absent in season two, part one, his name was referenced multiple times, hinting at a likely return.
Meanwhile, the seemingly harmless zombie Slurp, who was introduced in Part 1, is expected to become a full-fledged character with his own agenda. With Wednesday’s brother, Pugsley, now at, viewers can also expect to see more of the Addams family dynamic explored. Fans can definitely expect a darker tone, psychological depth and some intense investigation into the secrets Nevermore and Willow Hill have hidden.
