The Raja Saab joins Sankranti race
Sankranti is a festival that generally accommodates 3-4 big-ticket Telugu film releases. While Megastar Chiranjeevi’s upcoming film, Mana Shiva Shankar Vara Prasad Garu, is releasing for the festive season, we also have Naveen Polishetty’s film Anaganaga Oka Raju slotted for release. Tamil superstar Vijay’s film, Jana Nayagan, is also slated for Sankranti release. And the latest film to join the festive race is Prabhas-starrer, The Raja Saab. The film’s producer Vishwa Prasad confirmed that the romantic horror comedy will be pitched as a festival release, and that the official announcement regarding the same will be made soon. Prasad made these comments while speaking at a press conference of one of his upcoming films, Mirai. The producer exuded confidence that the unit can wrap up the remaining part within time. Although fans of Prabhas were a tad disappointed with The Raja Saab being further pushed back, they could empathize because the reasons were even beyond filmmakers’ control.

Prabhas to wrap up shooting by October-end
Prabhas recently commenced a new schedule of shooting in Hyderabad after the film federation employees ended an 18-day strike. The Raja Saab is one of the most-affected films due to strike. At a time when the makers were racing against time to wrap up the film, Tollywood strike came like an insult to injury. Prabhas’s dates are crucial to complete the film on time and release the film for Sankranti. According to sources, the unit still requires around 20 days to complete the film.
