Task Force Foil Murder Plot, Arrest 5 in ₹15 Lakh Contract Killing Case

Task Force

Hyderabad, July 8 – In a swift and strategic operation, the Commissioner’s Task Force, South Zone, in coordination with the Falaknuma Police, foiled a murder conspiracy and arrested a five-member gang that was allegedly plotting to kill a rival rowdy sheeter. Authorities seized ₹40,000 in cash — reportedly an advance payment for the crime — and two mobile phones from the suspects.

Accused Identified

The accused have been identified as:

  • Syed Faiyaz (39) – Real estate agent and alleged mastermind of the plot, Falaknuma

  • Syed Zaffer Uddin @ Abbu (40) – Real estate dealer, Falaknuma

  • Mohd Khaleeluddin (30) – Private employee, suspect sheeter at Falaknuma PS

  • Mohd Ibrahim (30) – Driver and rowdy sheeter at Mailardevpally PS

  • Syed Younus @ Ajju (28) – Resident of Falaknuma

Case Background

The plot revolved around eliminating Mujahid @ Mujju, a rowdy sheeter from Dundigal Police Station, recently released on parole after serving time for a prior murder case. According to the police, Syed Faiyaz had ongoing monetary disputes with Mujahid and feared becoming his next target. He allegedly offered ₹15 lakh to the gang for the contract killing and handed over ₹40,000 as an advance.

However, based on credible intelligence, law enforcement authorities apprehended the group before they could execute their plan.

Police Action

The arrests were made under Cr. No. 268/2025, U/s 61(2)(a) BNS, at Falaknuma Police Station. The investigation is ongoing to determine if more individuals are involved and whether additional financial transactions took place.

Seizures Made

  • ₹40,000 cash (advance payment for murder)

  • 2 mobile phones were used in the conspiracy

Police officials commended the timely intervention of the Task Force and warned that serious action will be taken against individuals or gangs engaged in such violent conspiracies. The arrests are expected to significantly impact criminal networks operating in the Old City region.
