
Hyderabad: In a major breakthrough, the Begumpet Police solved a high-stakes theft case within hours of it being reported, recovering a stolen amount of ₹46.4 lakhs and arresting the accused in record time.

The Managing Director of Sun Steels Pvt. Ltd. lodged a complaint early on June 21, reporting that ₹46 lakhs in cash had been stolen from the office locker. The theft occurred the previous night, with the perpetrator gaining entry through the office roof.
Acting swiftly, Begumpet Police launched an intensive investigation and reviewed the CCTV footage around the premises. The suspect, identified as Giridhari Singh (28), was a former employee who had been terminated six months ago. His movements were traced through a combination of video surveillance, travel records, and mobile phone activity.
Singh was found to be fleeing the state by bus toward Pureli, Madhya Pradesh. With coordination from the Adilabad Police, he was intercepted and arrested near the Maharashtra border, barely six hours after the complaint was filed. The entire stolen amount of ₹46.4 lakhs was successfully recovered.
