T-Mobile is no stranger to pretty big controversies, but we have to admit that the company does have some nice deals. On Tuesday, the carrier announced some new plans that aim to save users money on their monthly bills. These new T-Mobile prepaid plans might be what you’re looking for if you want great service at great prices.
They go into effect on Tuesday, June 24th. Another important detail is that the prices are guaranteed for a whopping five years. So, you shouldn’t expect a price increase until 2030. It’s important to know that the price of the plans won’t change over the next five years. However, the deal excludes the taxes and fees applied to those plans. So, those could change at some point
T-Mobile introduced some new prepaid plans with a 5-year price guarantee
Long-term price guarantees are pretty important to have. It seems that every time you turn around, one or more of the services that you love announce a price increase. In this day and age, it’s all too common and all too unwelcome. Enter T-Mobile with its new prepaid plans. The company announced three plans, and the first one is the Starter Monthly.
Starter Monthly
Bear in mind that these prices reflect what you will pay if you have auto-pay enabled. If you don’t, then the prices will be a bit higher each month. Coming in at $40/month ($45 for your first month), the Starter Monthly plan gives you 15GB of high-speed data each month.Â
It also comes with unlimited talk and text, which should not be a surprise. After you use up your 15GB of data, your speeds will slow down drastically. So, you will want to keep an eye out for open Wi-Fi connections when you are out.
Unlimited Monthly
Now, we have the cheapest unlimited plan. This one comes at $45/month ($50 for your first month), and it gives you unlimited data. However, it is not unlimited high-speed data. You get unlimited 5G data and unlimited hotspot data at 3G speeds.Â
While you have unlimited internet, you will have access to 50GB of high-speed internet each month. After you use that, your data will be slowed. T-Mobile also mentioned that customers can save at least $120/year on one line compared to AT&T and Verizon prepaid plans. So, if you want to get a yearly subscription, that may save you some money down the road.
Unlimited Plus Monthly
Now, for the top plan. Unlimited Plus Monthly also gives you unlimited data (up to 50GB of high-speed data). It also comes with 5GB of high-speed hotspot data. Of course, it also comes with unlimited talk and text.
Other perks include unlimited talk and text to the USA while roaming in Mexico and Canada. You also have unlimited texting to over 200 countries from the USA. You’ll pay $60/month for this plan ($65 /month for your first month).
Families of four can save up to 15% each month compared to comparable plans from AT&T and Verizon.
