A video glimpse of Gopichand’s 33rd movie was released on Thursday, letting many movie buffs draw parallels with the visual flavour of Prashanth Neel’s Salaar. The posters of Salaar had a dark, atmospheric aesthetic with a focus on gritty, war-like environments, much like the latest poster of Gopichand’s untitled movie.
“The use of smoke, fire, and a desaturated color scheme in the poster mirrors the intense, shadowy visuals seen in Prabhas’ Salaar,” a cinephile opined.
Like Gopichand’s character in the film, Prabhas’ character in Salaar was similarly equipped for combat. “The theme of revolution and fierce warriorhood in #Gopichand33 aligns with Salaar’s focus on power struggles and epic confrontations. Both suggest a narrative rooted in conflict and redemption, which is a recurring motif in Neel’s directorial style,” a Rediff user added.
The influence of Prashanth Neel on others is evident. With both KGF and Salaar, he has set a new benchmark for action dramas.
Gopichand’s movie is directed by Sankalp Reddy of Ghazi fame. The film is produced by Srinivaasa Chitturi of Nagarjuna’s Naa Saami Ranga fame. Its release date is yet to be locked.
