Tollywood seems to be going through a surreal phase! A period where OTT players are dictating a film’s release date and other terms and conditions. A couple of days ago Kubera producer Suniel Narang revealed that the OTT player who acquired the digital rights apparently told him to release the film in June. If Suniel fails to meet the June deadline, then he may have to forgo a certain percentage of cut from the agreed payment. The latest buzz is that Hari Hara Veera Mallu too is facing a similar fate?

HHVM facing similar fate?
It is already known that the release date of Pawan Kalyan’s upcoming film Hari Hara Veera Mallu has been postponed multiple times. The OTT giant who owns the film’s digital rights has endured all these delays. But it looks like the digital platform is in no mood to buck down. According to reports, HHVM’s OTT player asked makers to release the film at any cost by July end. The agreement reportedly hinted at a July theatrical release, and the filmmakers are now trying to meet the deadline. The OTT player has so far shown great flexibility by adjusting its agreement multiple times. Perhaps, not any more.
HHVM eye July release?
While fans and interest rates are putting pressure on filmmakers on one hand, OTT giant has also joined to exert pressure. Apparently, the OTT platform that bought the digital rights of HHVM has planned and lined up a series of films in the next six months. Hence, it’ll be challenging for them if HHVM missed the July deadline. Director Jyothi Krisna is working on completing sound and Vfx aspects of the film.Â
The period drama that depicts the life of legendary outlaw Veera Mallu is set in 17th century. The film has generated great buzz and fans are waiting with bated breath to see their favourite star in action.Â
