Redmagic is gearing up to reveal its next gaming tablet to the public, the Redmagic Tablet 3 Pro, and prior to its official unveiling the company is teasing a couple of key details, including the chipset being used and the timing of its announcement date. While this won’t be Redmagic’s first tablet, it will be the company’s first tablet that’s running on the latest flagship chipset from Qualcomm. This is poised to give this new tablet better performance and some new features.
The Redmagic Tablet 3 Pro may or may not be the official name of the tablet when it hits global markets, assuming it hits global markets at all. Chances are that it will, though, as most of Redmagic’s devices these days will launch with global versions. Meaning, you should be able to buy this new tablet in the US eventually. The mystery is when that date will be.
That being said, Redmagic doesn’t usually space out its launches for China and the global markets too much. For instance, the Redmagic 10S Pro launched in China back at the end of May. It’s launching globally as of today. So that’s not even a week-long gap. It’s unclear if this new tablet will follow the same timeframe, but don’t expect it to be months apart.
The Redmagic Tablet 3 Pro comes with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset
If you hadn’t already guessed, Redmagic’s next gaming tablet comes with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset inside. This is Qualcomm’s most powerful mobile platform and is found inside flagship phones like the Galaxy S25 Ultra and Redmagic’s own 10S Pro. It’s also inside the ASUS ROG Phone 9 Pro and ASUS’s Zenfone 12 Ultra. It shouldn’t be surprising that Redmagic is using this chipset. After all, its last tablet had the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. So, it only makes sense for it to upgrade with the new device.
The tablet will likely have an 8-inch display, and it launches on June 11
First things first, the Redmagic Tablet 3 Pro is scheduled to be launched on June 11. This will most likely be the launch date for China only. If that ends up being the case, the global launch could be later in the month. It’s also worth noting that the launch is probably more of a pre-order phase, with the phone likely being purchaseable outside of pre-order a couple of weeks after the announcement.
In addition to the launch date, Redmagic has also teased the fact that this is a smaller tablet. It’s likely that this is an 8-inch or 8.8-inch tablet, just like the Lenovo Legion Tablet. “A small tablet that fits in your pocket, smaller and stronger!”, the official post on Redmagic’s Weibo account reads.
This is quite telling in that the tablet is definitely smaller than its last model, which had a 10.9-inch display. So far, this is all that’s known about the Redmagic Tablet 3 Pro officially. More will be revealed next week.
