The 2019 family comedy Luka Chuppi, starring Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon, is gearing up for a spook-tacular sequel! This time, Varun Dhawan and Sharvari are stepping into the spotlight, and here’s the kicker — the film will have a supernatural twist that’ll set it apart from the original. According to the latest buzz, Varun and Sharvari have given a thumbs-up to the concept and are expected to formally come on board once the script gets its final touch. Laxman Utekar, who helmed the first film, will co-produce this new chapter, while one of his associates will take the director’s chair. If all goes to plan, the film will hit the floors in the first half of 2026. 

Going dark and dangerous

Aditya Dhar and Akshaye Khanna

Akshaye Khanna is slipping into villain mode in Aditya Dhar’s upcoming action-packed thriller Dhurandhar, locking horns with none other than Ranveer Singh. Based on a high-stakes rescue mission, the film will be a showdown between Ranveer’s hero and Akshaye’s master manipulator. This marks Aditya’s return to the espionage genre after his 2019 film Uri: The Surgical Strike. The ensemble cast includes R Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, and Arjun Rampal. Akshaye’s baddie is rumoured to be a sharp, shadowy figure working against national interests, bringing twists, turns, and treachery to the story.
