Verification of visitors to Salman Khan`s Galaxy Apartments mandatory

Mumbai Police have now made visitor verification mandatory before allowing entry into actor Salman Khan’s Bandra-based Galaxy Apartments. This protocol will now be strictly implemented in the building after two people trespassed at the apartment on Wednesday, purportedly with an intention to meet the actor, said a Mumbai Police officer, adding that “some changes have also been made in Salman Khan’s security”.

According to Mumbai Police sources, a new security protocol is being considered for Salman Khan’s safety.

In a serious security breach —a 22-year-old man from Chhattisgarh and a junior artiste— attempted to enter the actor’s private residence in the past two days. The incidents not only raised concerns about the actor’s personal security but also highlighted the need for greater vigilance in the security of private residential buildings.

Mumbai Police believe that an identity verification system could help prevent unauthorised access to Galaxy Apartments and further strengthen the security provided to the actor.

Sources also claimed that such security policies are now quite common.

In most residential societies, if an unknown person arrives at the gate, they must inform the security guard whom they are visiting. The guard then calls the resident on the intercom to confirm, and only after this confirmation is the visitor allowed inside.

If such practices are common in most housing societies, then the decision to reconsider these basic security protocols—especially for a major Bollywood celebrity already under threat and receiving Y+ category security—raises significant questions about the adequacy of the current security arrangements.

Trespassing incident probe

The first trespassing incident took place at 3.30 am, when a junior artiste named Isha arrived at the gate of Galaxy Apartments. She told the security guard that she needed to go to the fourth floor of the building.

After entering the building, Isha stepped into the elevator and went to the third floor. From there, she took the elevator again to the first floor, where she rang the doorbell, but no one opened the door.

Meanwhile, when another security guard went to the first floor, he saw Isha there. As she was unfamiliar, he asked her who she was and what she was doing there.

Isha told him that Salman Khan had called her to meet him.

During interrogation, she told the police that she was a huge fan of the actor and had come to meet him.

Isha has been living in Mumbai since 2016 and shifted to Bandra six months ago. She has played side roles in Kannada films and also works in commercial advertisements.

According to the police sources, nothing suspicious has been found in the investigation so far.

In the evening, a Chhattisgarh resident, who had also come to meet the actor, was arrested for trespassing at the building.
