Rani Mukerji gets on board for Shah Rukh Khan-starrer

As reported by Pinkvilla, Rani Mukerji has come on board the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer directed by Siddharth Anand. Reportedly, it will be an extended cameo. A source told the portal, “Rani Mukerji and Shah Rukh Khan have worked together in films like Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, and Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, among others, and are now set for a reunion. Rani Mukerji has been cast to play the part of Suhana Khan’s mother, and it’s a role that acts as a catalyst for the entire action-thriller.”

The source added, “It was a no-brainer for Rani to say yes to Shah Rukh Khan and Siddharth Anand’s offer for King. She heard the part and instantly agreed to come on board. Rani’s track is the emotional core of King, adding depth to the narrative.”

This will mark Rani Mukerji and Shah Rukh Khan’s on-screen reunion after 17 years. They last shared screen space in the film Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi in the song Phir Milenge Chalte Chalte in 2008.
