Here is the season for going gaga over gutsy stunts in Hollywood movies. With Tom Cruise’s new Mission Impossible movie up for theatrical release on May 23, movie buffs are talking about how Cruise goes all out every time. There is an incredible instance where a movie found its place in the Guinness Book of World Records, precisely for a rare stunt sequence.

For Skyfall (2012), stunt coordinator Gary Powell orchestrated a train crash where a real locomotive smashed through a London Underground station. “The stunt, costing millions, used a full-scale train and took months to plan. It earned a Guinness World Record for the most spectacular stunt in a Bond film, with no CGI for the crash itself,” a Hollywood report said at that time.

“Much of what you see on screen was performed for real by stunt doubles and even Daniel Craig himself,” the makers said, hyping up the movie’s breathtaking visuals. “Craig was committed to performing as many stunts as safely possible, including dangling from the bottom of an elevator shaft (on a blue screen set),” they added.
