AB de Villiers hails Virat Kohli`s test career; says "Congrats to my biscotti"

Team India stalwart Virat Kohli recently announced his retirement from Test cricket. The veteran took to his official social media handle to make the announcement about his decision.

Following his retirement, the cricket fraternity heaped praise on the 36-year-old`s glorious career of 14 years in the format.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared a post which read, “An era ends in Test cricket but the legacy will continue FOREVER”.

The official governing global cricket body, International Cricket Council (ICC), hailed the former Indian skipper by saying, “Whites off, crown intact”.

Team India batsman Ajinkya Rahane congratulated the cricketer by sharing a story on his official social media handle by saying, “It`s been a special journey sharing the field with you @virat.kohli. So many great memories and partnerships together. Congratulations on an amazing Test career!”.

On Instagram, legendary South African and former RCB cricketer AB de Villiers hailed Kohli by labelling him as “True legend!”.

Having represented India in 123 Test matches, Virat Kohli concluded his career with 9,230 runs with a highest score of an unbeaten 254 runs. During his career, the Indian cricketer smashed 30 centuries and 31 half-centuries in the format. Having already stepped away from the shortest format of the game, the veteran will now continue to feature in the One-Day Internationals (ODIs) for India.
