Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Tier II and III cities recorded an average 20 per cent revenue increase after onboarding the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) platform, said EasyPay, a financial services company onboarded onto the e-commerce platform in December 2023.
Easy Pay’s data show that Rajasthan, Gujarat and Maharashtra topped the list of States with the highest number of MSMEs joining the ONDC platform.
The app highlighted how a jewellery store in Pune doubled its orders and income within months of onboarding. Similarly, a chips-seller from Rajasthan set an ONDC record by selling 1,200 packets within an hour during a city-wide campaign. “With seamless inventory sync, real-time order management, and simple payment acceptance, we achieved a scale of operation that was previously unimaginable for a neighbourhood business. For the first time, we felt like we were competing on a national stage,” the seller said.
In the past year, there was a massive increase in ONDC onboarding by such businesses Easy Pay state. This is in line with their goal to integrate over 100 thousand businesses by FY26-27. It also aims to expand rural and semi-urban reach by the end of FY25-26.
“Our mission is simple — to make digital commerce truly inclusive. ONDC is a game-changer in that journey, and we’re here to ensure that small businesses get onboarded and flourish,” said Nilay Patel, Founder and Managing Director of Easy Pay.
