
Filmmaker Karan Johar, who considers actor Shah Rukh Khan a brother and has seen his children grow up in front of him, recently opened up about their upcoming projects. While Suhana Khan made her acting debut with the Netflix film The Archies, she is now looking forward to her big-screen splash with The King, co-starring her superstar father. Meanwhile, Khan’s elder son Aryan Khan is set to make his directorial debut with Ba**ds of Bollywood*.

In an interview with Raj Shamani, Karan Johar spoke about Shah Rukh Khan’s kids and what people can expect from their upcoming ventures. There is already a lot of buzz around The King, which will mark Suhana’s big-screen debut. “When people see her with her father in The King… They’ll see her on a large scale, and they’ll feel that she is a tremendous talent. She’s going to do phenomenally well. I’m not just saying this because she’s like my daughter—I’m saying this because I believe there is a massive, solid artist in Suhana Khan,” Johar shared.
The film will be directed by Siddharth Anand who also directed Pathaan and War. The film boasts of actors like Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone,
Karan Johar on Aryan Khan’s debut show
While Johar did not reveal many details about Aryan’s first show, he said it is definitely something to watch out for.
“I don’t want to say anything about his Netflix show because he’ll get very angry, but all I’ll say is this: watch out. If there is a King, there will be a Prince. I can say this with confidence because I’ve seen the show. He has an individualistic voice as a director.”
Karan further added that Aryan has a “rare personality type” and is nothing like what one might expect from SRK’s son.
“He works hard—he works 20 hours a day,” Johar said.
The show was officially announced this year at the Netflix 2025 announcement slate. The announcement was made by Shah Rukh Khan himself with a fun teaser video.
