iPhone Just Roasted Itself Over Copycat Features

Google has decided to throw shade at Apple once again, and it once again uses one of its #BestPhonesForever ads in order to do it. A new video has been published by the company on YouTube, titled ‘Responding to the Rumors’. In it, iPhone roasts itself over copycat features, basically.

Google has decided to poke fun yet again by roasting iPhone over copycat features

In this video, Pixel and iPhone are best buds once again, and they’re a part of a podcast this time around. They’re talking about rumors regarding the design of the upcoming iPhone. The rumor highlighted in the video says ‘iPhone 17 Leaks Look A Lot Like Google Pixel’.

The first comment iPhone gave was “it’s crazy! Can you imagine me doing the same thing you did first, years later?”. To which the Pixel responded, “Sounds pretty far-fetched”. Google is obviously throwing shade here at Apple, for adapting features that have been available on Android for years.

It doesn’t end there, however. Google went out of its way to highlight some examples in this video. Google’s Night Sight is mentioned. Apple announced ‘Night Mode’ a year after that. To what the Pixel said, “total coincidence.”

Magic Eraser was mentioned, as were widgets

The iPhone continued listing by mentioning Google’s Magic Eraser feature, which Apple launched as ‘Clean Up’ three years later. It’s not the exact same feature, of course, but it does the same thing.

Then the biggest flex of all was mentioned, widgets, which Android has had since its first version. As if all that wasn’t enough, another joke was thrown at the end of the video. Pixel said that they wanted to remind everyone that rumors are just rumors, and then the iPhone repeated the exact same thing.
