May is a transitional month—gearing up for summer while still wrapping up the season we’re in. Our calendar is full, but in a good way: a short trip to Mexico, dinner events, creative projects, and early progress on our new home. We’ve also been refining our routines—trying new workouts, new tools, and getting more intentional about how we use our time. Below, what we’re doing, wearing, buying, and eyeing this month.
What We’re Doing
- We’ve been using Duckbill frequently—it’s an AI-powered virtual assistant that handles everything from booking travel to scheduling appointments, handling returns, and organizing to-dos. It’s been a quiet game changer in helping us move through the week with more clarity.
- Thomas and I are taking a short trip to San Miguel de Allende, just the two of us. We’re staying at Belmond Casa de Sierra Nevada, and it’s our first time visiting—looking forward to the architecture, food, and quiet moments.
- I’ll be attending a dinner at The Dunlin hosted by Mrs. Alice, which I’ve been looking forward to—it’s my first time visiting the property.
- Summer travel is locked in, and we’re all looking forward to it: Greece, Harbour Island, Idaho, California, and Hawaii. A good mix of recharge and inspiration.
- We’ve officially begun the design and decorating process on our new home with Summer Thornton, and it already feels like it’s coming to life in ways that reflect our style.
- We finally had dinner at Merci, one of Charleston’s newest spots. It was incredible—memorable in every way.
- Cocktails at Legami were so good we booked dinner before we left.
- Lately, we’ve been shooting a lot with film cameras. There’s something refreshing about slowing down the process. We’re working on a full post for Substack about what we’re using and how it’s changed the way we document things.
- Our most recent Substack post (subscriber-only) was a personal one—on outsourcing help, what we’ve done in the past, where we are now, and what we’re still figuring out. The comments have been incredible—so thoughtful and full of insight.
- I’ve added Lagree-style pilates into my weekly routine 2–3x and it’s been intense in the best way. I feel stronger, more balanced, and motivated.
What I’m Wearing

What I’m Buying
What I’m Eyeing
- Shell hair clip — chic for those wet hair summer days.
- This dress — one of the most striking I’ve seen. Mini version available too.
- Chanel’s Cruise 2025 collection, shown at Villa d’Este, is a refined mix of raffia, wicker, silk scarves, and jewel-box hues—pure Lake Como glamour with a modern edge
- From the NAP x Etro collaboration:
- I’ve been spending a lot of time looking at the jewelry by Grazia & Marica Vozza. Their pieces have an old-world elegance with unexpected proportions—chunky but not heavy, sculptural but wearable.
- Browsing outdoor furniture for our new home—these wicker and iron chairs caught my eye.
- Our Moke gets more use than ever now that we’re living downtown. If I were to redesign it, I’d go for this version with wicker seats—it reminds me of vintage Fiat Jollys.
- Saving this tablescape by Cordelia de Castellane for our next dinner party—the layered florals and grouped arrangements are stunning.
- De Gournay’s new Bunny Mellon collection is a quiet masterclass in garden-inspired design—delicate florals, hand-painted trellises, and a color palette pulled straight from her legendary landscapes. Currently saving it for *hopefully* a future room.
