Days after it claimed to have busted a terror module in the state, Jharkhand’s ATS Wednesday arrested a fifth suspect from Dhanbad for alleged links to the banned Hizb ut-Tahrir (HuT).
Ammar Yashar, 33, was detained from Shamsher Nagar under provisions of UAPA, IPC and the Explosives Act.
According to an ATS official, Yashar’s name came up during questioning of four persons arrested in Dhanbad on April 26. Police claim Yashar, who had been arrested in 2014 over alleged ties with Indian Mujahideen, was granted bail in May last year after spending nearly a decade in prison.
