Hyderabad: A local court in Hyderabad has sentenced three individuals to rigorous life imprisonment for the murder of a man in Rajendranagar. The trio – Mohammed Ghouse alias Khooni Ghouse, Mohammed Shoeb, and Mohammed Naseeruddin – were found guilty of killing Mohd Sarwar, a resident of Chintalmet, over a personal dispute.
According to police records, Mohammed Ghouse, infamously known as Khooni Ghouse, is a habitual offender with 28 criminal cases already registered against him. He, along with Shoeb and Naseeruddin, conspired and executed the murder of Sarwar in what officials say was a premeditated attack.
The incident took place in the Rajendranagar area, where the victim was reportedly targeted due to ongoing personal enmity. Following a thorough investigation, the police arrested the three accused and filed charges against them under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code.
After a prolonged trial, the local court pronounced its verdict on Monday, awarding rigorous life imprisonment to all three convicts. Additionally, the court imposed fines as part of the sentencing, reinforcing the gravity of the offense.
The Hyderabad police welcomed the judgment, stating that it sends a strong message to repeat offenders and serves as a warning against taking the law into one’s own hands.
Authorities also praised the efforts of the investigation team and legal counsel who ensured the case was prosecuted effectively, leading to a conviction.
This case adds to the rising concerns over gang-related and repeat-offender crimes in parts of Hyderabad, particularly in areas like Rajendranagar, where incidents of violence linked to personal rivalry and criminal gangs have been reported in the past.
Police officials urged citizens to report suspicious activities and assured that strong legal action would be taken against habitual offenders to maintain law and order in the city.
