At least three upcoming movies have huge investments riding on them. Their box-office success will be crucial in defining (or even deciding, in the case of two of them) the careers of their respective heroes. Incidentally, all three heroes are nepo kids.
Lenin: Starring Akhil Akkineni in the lead, this romantic action drama features Sreeleela as the heroine. Annapurna Studios and Sithara Entertainments have invested a lot in this project despite the fact that Akhil has delivered just one hit since his debut in 2015. Lenin’s becoming a success will ensure that Akhil’s career gets a chance to steady itself.
Bhairavam: Starring Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas in the lead, this remake co-stars Nara Rohit and Manchu Manoj. Despite being a remake, producer KK Radhamohan is believed to be spending a bomb on the project. The success of this action drama will be crucial for Sai Sreenivas’ future. The demand for the actor’s other three upcoming projects (namely Haindavam, Kishkindhapuri and Tyson Naidu) will be determined by the fate of Bhairavam.
Champion: Starring Roshan Meka (the son of actor Srikanth), the film’s budget is said to be about Rs 40 Cr. After the success of Pelli SandaD at the box office 2.5 years back, Roshan hasn’t acted in any other movie as a lead man. Champion is produced by Swapna Cinema. If this movie becomes a hit, Roshan could champion an action drama and upgrade himself as an action hero.
