Everything surrounding the Galaxy S25 Edge has become clearer in recent weeks. The first leaks about the device were destroyed by Samsung with the first official teaser in January 2025. Since then, leakers have been more careful with the information they share about it. Now, a recent report from a reliable tipster includes a leaked image of the Galaxy S25 Edge’s final design. What’s striking is that, according to the render, the smartphone will only have one speaker.
The leak confirms design details
The latest leaked image of the Galaxy S25 Edge comes from @evleaks. The X/Twitter post shows the device in a silver color variant that looks very elegant. The image confirms the phone’s design details that have been leaking over the past few weeks. The handset’s design significantly differs from its siblings, particularly in the rear area. There’s a dual camera system surrounded by a pill-shaped housing. The vertical camera array also includes an LED flash below the sensors.
The smartphone’s new rear camera design is similar to what we’ve seen on recent Galaxy A series phones. So, don’t be surprised if next year’s Galaxy S26 lineup also features a more traditional camera module instead of separate sensors. This appears to be the new design direction the South Korean giant is taking with its smartphones. The S26 Ultra model could maintain a distinctive look, though.
The front of the Galaxy S25 Edge shows very slim bezels around the display. According to previous reports, they will be as slim as those on the Galaxy S25 Ultra. The phone could also boast a titanium frame and a 200MP main rear camera. So, it will outperform the current Galaxy S25 and S25+ variants in some areas.
New Galaxy S25 leaked image hints at a single speaker
That said, there’s one aspect where the upcoming ultra-thin Galaxy phone could fall far behind its siblings. The leaked image points out the location of key elements of the Galaxy S25 Edge, highlighting the fact that it only mentions one speaker. That is, the Galaxy S25 Edge could have a single speaker, an aspect that, if true, will surely discourage many from purchasing it. This could be one of the sacrifices Samsung had to make to achieve the product’s thinness. Battery capacity and a camera sensor could be the other important sacrifices.
We’re not entirely sure if the lack of a second speaker is a mistake in the image. @evleaks approved the render, and given his track record of getting it right, it seems the S25 Edge will lack a stereo speaker system.
The potential omission of a second speaker could be a big drawback for many. It remains to be seen whether Samsung will make up for this in any way, whether by including a unique, high-quality speaker or something else.
