The trailer of Subham is fascinating. Director Praveen Kandregula, it appears, is offering us a strong dose of subversive family drama in the mold of a horror-comedy.
Harshith Reddy, Gavireddy Srinivas and Charan Peri play frightened husbands who can’t figure out why their wives are possessed by a ghost that can’t tolerate them mocking a TV serial titled Janma Janmala Bandham. The whole village turns into a circus when one male after another gets a taste of the bitter pill. The wives have stopped caring for their husbands’ mental health.
Also featuring Shriya Kontham, Shravani Lakshmi, Shalini Kondepudi, and Vamshidhar Goud, Subham has a cameo appearance by Samantha Ruth Prabhu (also the film’s producer). As a godwoman, she has a doomsday prediction for the village’s men.
Written by Vasanth Mariganti, the film is edited by Dharmendra Kakarala. Mridul Sujit Sen and Shor Police, respectively, have taken care of the cinematography and the songs. Vivek Sagar has composed the BGM. Ramcharan Tej Labani is the production designer.
Set to hit the cinemas on May 9th, the Trailer is the sixer the film needed. We expect Subham to take excellent openings at the box office.
