According to an independent industry source, “Love & War is on schedule, and the film is progressing as planned. There have been no discussions about a possible delay at the production end, so speculation of this nature is entirely baseless.”

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming film, Love & War, is shaping up to be an epic tale of love set against the backdrop of war. According to reports, it’s a film that revolves around two strong-headed army men played by Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal, with their characters in a “tug-of-war” for their love interest, played by Alia Bhatt. We have heard that the director has already shot some confrontation sequences between Ranbir and Vicky and is mighty impressed with the output. The film is being shot in Mumbai and is expected to hit the theatres on March 20 next year.

Earlier, it was reported that Bhansali`s favourite collaborator Deepika Padukone will be making a cameo appearance. However, latest report suggests that the Padmaavat actress will not be a part of the film.

On the other hand, it is reported that social media sensation Orry aka Orhan Awatramani will be making a special appearance in the film. As per a report in India Today, Orry, who has joined the cast of Love and War, will be seen portraying a homosexual character who is Alia’s closest friend. Meanwhile, reportedly, Alia Bhatt will be seen acing the role of a cabaret dancer, whereas the male leads of the film, Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal, will play officers in the Indian Armed Forces

This has further heightened the excitement to see what the film will bring for the audience. However, not much can be said about the project at this stage. But one thing is certain—Love & War is set to be a grand phenomenon. The film is scheduled for release on March 20, 2026.
