Hero MotoCorp Expands Presence in Sri Lanka with Four New 2W Models

Hero MotoCorp, the world’s largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters, has launched four new products in Sri Lanka in partnership with its distributor Abans Auto. The company introduced the Xoom 110 scooter, alongside three motorcycle models – Hunk 160R 4V, Xtreme 125R, and HF Deluxe.

Hero MotoCorp has operated in Sri Lanka since 2012 through Abans Auto. To support the new product lineup, the company plans to expand its network to over 500 customer touchpoints across the country by May 2025, providing access to genuine spare parts and after-sales service.

The Xoom 110 will be Sri Lanka’s first and only scooter in the 110cc category, featuring i3S technology for fuel efficiency, a front disc brake with CBS, and telescopic front suspension, the company said. The Hunk 160R 4V is equipped with a 163cc 4-valve engine delivering 16.6 bhp power, while the Xtreme 125R offers 11.4 bhp from its 125cc engine. The HF Deluxe, available in an all-black edition, is powered by a 97.2cc engine designed for fuel efficiency.

Pricing starts at LKR 577,900 for the HF Deluxe, with the Xoom 110 priced at LKR 699,900. The Xtreme 125R is set at LKR 776,900, and the Hunk 160R 4V at LKR 909,900. The HF Deluxe and Xoom 110 are immediately available at Abans Auto dealerships, while pre-bookings for the Hunk 160R 4V and Xtreme 125R will open soon.

“Sri Lanka has held a position of strategic importance in our global plans,” said Sanjay Bhan, Executive Vice President, Hero MotoCorp. “With the launch of these new products and a robust sales and service ecosystem, we are confident of rapidly growing our presence in Sri Lanka.”

Rusi Pestonjee, Managing Director of Abans Auto, added that the partnership with Hero MotoCorp has established the brand as a respected name in Sri Lanka, and the expanded network of customer touchpoints will further accelerate Hero’s growth in the country.

Hero MotoCorp, headquartered in New Delhi, operates in 48 countries with eight manufacturing facilities and two research and development centers globally.

Hero MotoCorp has maintained its position as the world’s largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters for 24 consecutive years, with a customer base exceeding 120 million across Asia, Africa, and Latin America.
