Roku has just announced two new Streaming Sticks, which are “more compact and more powerful than ever”. The two devices that Roku announced are the Streaming Stick and Streaming Stick Plus.
On top of that, the company has issued updates across the Roku-made TV lineup, which should make the viewing experience more pleasant. It’s also worth noting that updates to the Roku OS have been issued, too. Those updates include personalized score highlights, a “coming soon to theaters” feature, and more. The company also noted that Roku OS is coming to projectors.

With that being said, let’s get back to the two products themselves. The Roku Streaming Stick and Streaming Stick Plus are basically the new basic offerings from the brand. These two provide users with 1080p and 4K streaming, respectively.
The Roku Streaming Stick is the more affordable option. With 1080p streaming, it also offers Roku’s free streaming channels. Yes, a remote is coming with it, and it supports voice input.
The ‘Plus’ version of the company’s new streaming stick offers pretty much the same things, except for higher resolution streaming. It supports 4K streaming and also has support for HDR, unlike the base model.
Both streaming sticks are already available to pre-order
Both of these streaming sticks are now available to pre-order from Roku. They’ll become available to purchase on May 6. At the time being, we did not spot them on other retailers, but they should become available there too. Either before the pre-order period ends, or after.
You’re probably wondering about the price? Well, they’re quite affordable. The Roku Streaming Stick will set you back $29.99, while the Streaming Stick Plus costs $39.99.
Roku has also announced that both new streaming sticks will be available in a slew of other countries. That includes Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Peru, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Honduras, Guatemala, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, and the UK.
