Who is Aneet Padda? Meet Ahaan Panday`s co-actor in YRF`s Saiyaara

Yash Raj Films (YRF) is creatively collaborating with a master of the romance genre, Mohit Suri, for a love story that has been titled Saiyaara. The much-awaited romantic film, Saiyaara, which introduces Ahaan Panday in the Hindi film industry and also stars Aneet Padda as the female lead, is set to release on July 18, 2025, in theatres worldwide.

Who is Aneet Padda?

While Ahaan is a popular lad and best-known as Ananya Panday’s cousin brother, Aneet is a prolific actor who has already done a fair amount of work. Aneet made her film debut with the 2022 film Salaam Venky, which was directed by seasoned actor Revathi and starred Kajol and Vishal Jethwa. 

Her big break, however, was the 2024 web series Big Girls Don`t Cry. The series takes audiences into the world of the prestigious Vandana Valley, where a group of young girls navigate life`s myriad exhilarating adventures of independence, rebellion, friendship, love, heartbreaks, and dreams, as they challenge not only the norms of the school but society at large. Along the journey, each of them battles with an internal struggle to remain true to their own unique identities.

About Mohit Suri’s Saiyaara

Presented by Aditya Chopra, directed by Mohit Suri, and produced by Akshaye Widhani, Saiyaara is an intense love story that brings YRF and Mohit Suri, both known for their huge generation-defining successes in the romantic genre, together for the first time. 

Coming to Ahaan Panday, he was groomed by Aditya Chopra and had trained at YRF for over six years before signing the film. Before that, the actor was introduced to director Mohit Suri for an audition and screen tests.

“Ahaan was introduced to Mohit Suri so that the director could assess if he was the right actor to headline his film and be the quintessential romantic hero. Ahaan worked under Mohit`s supervision and floored him with his auditions and multiple screen tests! Mohit wanted a fresh, young boy who had the charisma to be a hero on the big screen, and he is supremely excited about Ahaan`s potential,” a trade source was quoted by ANI.

Ahaan Panday has also served as an Assistant Director on notable projects like The Railway Men and Mardaani 2.
