American Aerospace and Defence giant Boeing has appointed Stacie Sire as its new Vice President and Managing Director for Boeing India Engineering & Technology Center (BIETC) and also as the chief engineer for Boeing India. Sire succeeds Ahmed Elsherbini, who led this position from April 2021 to January 2025.
In her new role, Sire will oversee the strategy, operations and team capabilities in India, supporting long-term business growth. Additionally, as Chief Engineer for Boeing India, Sire will manage engineering strategy and innovation across India-based programs.
Stacie Sire holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and went on to earn a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA from the University of Washington.
She also completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School in 2015, adding to her strong foundation in both technical and leadership domains.
Sire has been a part of Boeing’s team for 28 years and has served in many engineering and managerial positions. She played a pivotal role in Boeing’s 787 program, contributing to its development and structural innovations through various critical positions, including Director & Chief Engineer for the 787 Airframe.
Sire has also held senior management roles across multiple aircraft programs, such as the 767 and 777, overseeing key areas like configuration, systems engineering, and structural stress analysis. She most recently led fabrication engineering across 20 manufacturing units worldwide.
“Boeing’s growth in India as an industry leader and innovator in aerospace and defence is inspiring, and I am committed to working alongside our team here to continue advancing that journey. With a focus on safety, quality, engineering excellence, and collaboration, we have exciting opportunities ahead, and I look forward to contributing to BIETC’s continued success,” Sire commented on her new position.
