Rani Mukerji’s cop film ‘Mardaani 3’ locks its release date

Mardaani 3 has locked its release date. Yash Raj Films has zeroed in on February 27, 2026 as the movie’s release date.

Abhiraj Minawala is wielding the megaphone for this Bollywood movie. The film belongs to the biggest solo female-led franchise in Hindi cinema. Rani Mukerji, one of the senior-most female actors of Hindi cinema, is playing a powerful role. Scripted by Aayush Gupta of The Railway Men fame, the film is expected to be rich in subtext and be gut-wrenching, hard-hitting, and edgy.

The pre-Holi release is interesting. It is in keeping with the theme of the auspicious Holi festival. As is known, Mardaani 3 is positioned as a visceral battle between the inherent goodness of the protagonist and the menacing evil of the antagonist.
