Mahesh Babu’s fans are disappointed with overdose

Mahesh Babu has been declared the Re-Release King of Tollywood by his fans. Three movie re-releases have been planned in the next one month by different producers/distributors.

Koratala Siva-directed Bharat Ane Nenu will be re-released on APRIL 26. It will directly compete with first-time movie releases like Priyadarshi’s Sarangapani Jathakam. The film doesn’t merit a rewatch on the big screen.

Khaleja will head to theatres on MAY 30. This Trivikram directorial has acquired a cult status on TV but how many would turn up to watch it in theatres is hard to say at this point. MAY 30 could see the release of Pawan Kalyan’s Hari Hara Veera Mallu and/or Vijay Deverakonda’s Kingdom.

A day later, on MAY 31, Athidhi will be released in theaters. Directed by Surender Reddy, the film will come out on Superstar Krishna’s birthday.

It is likely that either Khaleja or Athidhi will be postponed, as nobody would want a clash between two re-releases of the same hero. Mahesh Babu’s fans themselves are not enthusiastic about three movie re-releases happening in such a short time. The overdose will only weaken the curiosity of the audience.
