Infosys & Spark New Zealand form AI-driven strategic IT partnership

Infosys and Spark New Zealand announced today a strategic IT collaboration agreement aimed at transforming Spark’s technology delivery model through digital innovation. The partnership will leverage Infosys’s AI and cloud capabilities to reduce IT operating costs while accelerating Spark’s strategy of providing digital and AI-driven customer experiences.

The shares of Infosys Limited were trading at ₹1,411.30 down by ₹14.70 or 1.03 per cent on the NSE today at 11.36 am.

Under the agreement, Infosys will provide global DevOps and software engineering capabilities to build, test, integrate, and deliver Spark’s systems and applications. The Indian tech giant will also handle monitoring and support functions. Spark will retain ownership of its IT assets and control over technology architecture strategy, product design, innovation roadmap, and business applications.

Matt Bain, Data and Marketing Director at Spark, highlighted that the expanded partnership builds on a 16-year collaboration between the companies. The arrangement will allow Spark’s teams to focus on technology strategy and product roadmaps while leveraging Infosys’s global scale for efficient execution.

Raja Shah, EVP and Industry Head of Global Markets at Infosys, emphasized that their solutions will deliver cost efficiencies and enhance customer experience through AI-driven insights and automation.

As part of the deal, Infosys will strengthen its local workforce in New Zealand to complement its global operations while maintaining critical local support and expertise.

Spark is New Zealand’s largest telecommunications and digital services company providing mobile, broadband, and digital services across the country. Infosys, a global leader in digital services and consulting, employs over 300,000 people worldwide.
