
Delhi News Live Updates: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has reported mainly clear skies in the national capital on Tuesday with strong surface winds expected to blow at speeds between 20 to 30 kmph. Over the next three days, the weather is likely to remain partly cloudy, with heatwave conditions setting in. In view of the rising temperatures, the IMD has issued a yellow alert for the region starting April 16. The mercury is projected to climb steadily, with the maximum temperature expected to touch 41°C on April 16 and rise further to 42°C on April 17 and 18.
MCD elections: Meanwhile, with the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) set to hold elections for the posts of mayor and deputy mayor on April 25, the nomination window is scheduled to open on Tuesday.
Woman shot dead in Delhi: A woman’s body with two gunshot wounds was found in Delhi’s GTB Enclave, Shahdara, late Monday night. “The woman appears to be around 20 years old… We are working to ascertain her identity,” an official said in a statement, reported PTI. The area was sealed, and a crime team inspected the scene. CCTV footage is being reviewed, and a murder case has been registered.
