GIPCL receives hoax bomb threat, no suspicious item found | Ahmedabad News

The Managing Director of Gujarat Industries Power Company Limited (GIPCL) in Vadodara’s Dhanora allegedly recieved a bomb threat on Thursday that created panic among the employees.

Teams from the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad, Special Operations Group, Detection of Crime Branch as well as units of the local police arrived at the site after the Human Resource department of GIPCL informed the police about the threat.

However, no suspicious items were found at the end of a search at the premises that went on for over three hours.

Senior police officers said that the threat was received via an email sent from Chennai. Further investigation to ascertain the identity of the sender was under way, they said
