
Mumbai News Today Live Updates: The Mumbai Water Tanker Association (MWTA) on Thursday decided to suspend the water supply to Mumbai indefinitely to protest amid a dispute with the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) over their notices to the owners of private wells which supply water to the tankers. The MWTA owns over 1800 water tankers that can store up to 500-20,000 litres. The association supplies around 350 MLD water to different parts of the city, including the upscale south Mumbai. Amid the dispute with BMC, the water tanker body has taken an “indefinite break” and suspended their operations for an indefinite period.
Bombay HC rejects plea on Kunal Kamra’s video: The Bombay High Court on Wednesday rejected the plea of a second-year law student to protect Kunal Kamra and other comedians from arbitrary First Information Reports (FIRs) if they engage in political satire or comedy. The High Court bench further said that the Maharashtra government has not taken vindictive action against any person for re-sharing or re-uploading Kamra’s video in which he indirectly passed a “traitor” jibe at Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. The bench noted that Kamra has filed a PIL in the Bombay High Court which seeks the quashing of FIRs against him, which is currently pending.

The maximum temperature for the day settled at 32 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature settled at 27 degrees Celsius.
