Delhi: 27 MLAs elected to PAC and 2 other financial committees, says Speaker | Delhi News

Delhi Legislative Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta on Tuesday announced that 27 MLAs had been elected unopposed to three significant financial committees for the 2025-26 fiscal.

As reported by The Indian Express, the nine-member Committee on Public Accounts was also among those to be constituted. Also known as the Public Accounts Committee (PAC), it is empowered to assess, and seek restitution for, losses to the state treasury once these have been established.

The PAC, according to the Speaker’s announcement, will include BJP MLAs Ajay Mahawar, Arvinder Singh Lovely, Kailash Gahlot, Raj Kumar Chauhan, Satish Upadhyay and Shikha Roy. The others included former Delhi Chief Minister Atishi as well as AAP MLAs Virendra Singh Kadian and Kuldeep Kumar.

Nine members each of the Delhi Assembly’s Committee on Government Undertakings as well as the Committee on Estimates were also announced.
