The police in Haryana’s Faridabad on Monday said it recovered 360 kilograms of inflammable substances along with other material that “could be used for terrorist activities”, during a raid near Delhi, ANI reported.
The raid was part of an ongoing joint anti-terror operation conducted by the Haryana Police and Jammu and Kashmir Police.
The inflammable material was recovered following disclosures made by an arrested Kashmiri doctor Adeel Ahmad Rather, the Deccan Herald quoted unidentified officials as saying. Based on information garnered during his interrogation, the police carried out a raid at Faridabad’s Al Falah Hospital, during which the inflammable material was recovered.
Another doctor Muzamil Shakeel, a resident of Kashmir, has also been detained and accused of having helped stock and conceal the explosives, the Deccan Herald reported.
Faridabad Commissioner of Police Satender Kumar said that the seized inflammable material was suspected to be ammonium nitrate, ANI reported. He said media reports that the material was RDX, or hexogen, were false.
