
At least 10 passengers were injured when a private bus rammed into a container from behind on the bypass of the Mumbai-Bangalore highway in Pune on Monday morning.
The incident took place around 7am on Monday on the Satara-Pune corridor of the Mumbai Bangalore highway. An officer from Ambegaon police station said the private bus was plying passengers from Satara to Mumbai and had some 30 passengers.
“As the bus came to the Jambhulwadi area, the driver of the bus lost control and the vehicle rammed into a container from behind. Due to the impact, around 10 passengers sustained injuries. None of these injured persons required hospitalisation and were released after being administered basic treatment,” said the officer.
Police registered a case against the driver of the bus, Sadanand Khot, 30.
