Anand Mahindra, chairman of Mahindra Group is known to be quite active on Twitter. He keeps sharing stuff about Mahindra and Classic Legends. He also shares some videos or pictures that he finds interesting. Now, he has shared a video of a scooter that has been covered with lights and jewellery.

He wrote on Twitter, “Life can be as colourful and entertaining as you want it to be… #OnlyInIndia”. We can see the scooter in the video. It is also equipped with a screen also on which we can see an old song video song playing. There are also speakers through which the sound is coming. There is also a clock placed above the storage space.

It seems like is that the scooter is a modified Bajaj Chetak. The scooter was spotted on a petrol pump.  The scooter was playing ‘Chup Gaye Sare Nazare’ on the screen. This is not the new electrified version of the Chetak. It is the original Chetak powered by a petrol engine.

Bajaj Chetak

Bajaj currently only has the Chetak in their line-up that is powered by an electric drivetrain. It is sold in two variants. There is Urbane and Premium. The Urbane is priced at Rs. 1 lakh whereas the Premium is priced at Rs. 1.15 lakhs. The Premium variant comes with tan-coloured seats, a rear disc brake and is offered in metallic colour options.

Chetak is powered by a 3.8 kW electric motor that generates a maximum of 4.2 kW. The 3.8 kW rating is the continuous rating of the electric motor. Chetak can cover 85 km in Sports mode and 95 km in Eco mode.

The lithium-ion battery pack is IP67 water and dust-resistant. Bajaj gives a three-year or 50,000 km warranty on the battery pack. Bajaj says that the scooter battery can be charged to 100 percent in 5 hours and it takes an hour to charge up to 25 percent.

Mahindra to launch Scorpio N soon

Mahindra is preparing to launch the Scorpio N in the Indian market. They have revealed the exterior as well as the interior of the SUV. The Scorpio N will be launched on June 27th and the current Scorpio will not be discontinued. Mahindra will rename it Scorpio Classic. It is based on a revised platform but it is still a ladder-frame chassis. The Scorpio will still be offered as a rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive. The four-wheel drive vehicles will be called “4Xplor”.

The Scorpio N will be offered with a 2.2-litre turbo diesel engine and a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine. These are the same engines as the Thar and XUV700. But the Scorpio N will get a different tune. Both the engines will be offered with a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. Both engines will also be offered with a 4×4 system. Moreover, Mahindra will offer the diesel engine in two states of tune.
